Rain And He   As the sky field with black clouds it was like his majesty. The sound rising before the rain was like his rough voice. The wind that cools the whole environment is like the love and protection he gives us. The occasional torrential down pour is like the life advice he gives us. The earth, wet after the rain  was like his heart boiling over even the smallest thing. The rainbow rising in the evening sky was like,his pure demeanor. He is my great father.......

  A Day At The Beach 💦😍 During the past holidays I went to Hikkaduwa beach with my family.We stayed at a hotel by the sea. In the evening I went to the beach with my parents. It was so nice to feel the waves touching my feet. I built a sand castle with a flag on top of it and also watched the sunset, it was a beautiful sight. Most people were having great fun on the beach. It was getting dark and my dress too was wet. So I had to get back to the hotel. But I wanted to stay much longer because it was windy and cool. I was  very happy that night because it was a day full of fun at the beach.

  Saving Our Environment Is Today Need  Environment is the god created domiciliary where we born,grow,play,love and live. It consists of earth,water,air,plants and animals. It is our original house for living. Before creating life in the earth, God created air, water, soil and plants which are essential for a life. At primitive age, human beings used to full their basic needs foods, cloth and shelter by consuming the plants and animals in raw form. They took fruits form plants and skin of animals as cloth. They stayed at cave for shelter And there was equilibrium in environment. our environment consists of all the things like the living and the non living things in it. It can be classified as natural environment and built environment. Natural environment is something that has been in existence for long. It is God gifted and the built environment is the one that has been created by man. After thousands of year man years man try to become civilised they try to changed their life...

 My Best Friend 👭 I have a best friend. My best friend name is Rashmi.She is  21 years old now. She has round face and big eyes. She is a short girl. She is very cute. She always help me.She every day wearing beautiful frocks.She has good characteristics. She has a big family. She went to A/ Kandalama Pallegama M.V. I recognised her from school. It is been 10 years since our friendship. She favourite  tamil actor is Soorya. We were together when we went to school and we were very happy. Her favourite game is bingo.I remember it like today. Every time I was in trouble she was very upset. I love her good heart. I am really happy to have a friend like her. I love my best friend.

  An interesting place I visited Sigiriya is the most interesting place I have visited. It is a rock fortress built by king  Kashyapa. He wanted to protect himself form his enemies and built his castle on the top of a rock. It looks like a gaint rock. When you go up you can see a place where it looks like a lions head with his two large paws. very hard to climb the rock.  It i There are some places where you can feel that you  are going to blow yourself away by the wind. You feel really scared then. The top part of the climb is very difficult. There is strong wind also. On the way, there are many interesting places to visit. The mirror wall is a unique creation. There are old writings on it. The Sigiri frescoes are also very beautiful. Some of them are destroyed, but you can still see how artistic our ancient are people.   Sports are important for us   Sports are very important to us because there are many advantages of doing sports. First it helps us to maintain a health body. Not only that, it develops our personality too. You are taught to honour victory or defeat as the same which helps us in the future. Sports help us to work as a team. This is a very important skill required in the working world. When you learn to work in a team, you can do many things. You can overcome any hardship if you work in a team. Sports help us to built that skills in us. We learn to respect others. Whether it is right or wrong, we are trained to respect the judgement given.  When we do sports, it helps us to meet new people and we build up new friendships with them. Today lots of people have many health problems but if you do atleast one sports,  you can lead a healthy life. You can build a balanced personality by doing sports. So, I think sports are very important for us.

  What I like to do during my free time I like to read books during my free time. Usually I read English books. When I read books, I go to another world. I imagine the things in the story and they play  like a film in my mind. I read story books mostly. My favourite author is Roald Dhal. The book I like the most is the "Charlie and the Chocolate factory ". Reading books has made me improve my language. I can learn lots of things about other cultures in the world. It has helped me to improve my  writing too, because reading has developed my creative thinking. Whenever I am free I like to read a book. Books really are the best companions. Wherever I go, I have a book with me. Whenever I get a free time, I read it.

  Let's Protect Animals Animals make the world beautiful. They live everywhere but today the animals face lots of problems. They die because of natural disasters and because of man too. When we pollute water, the animals that live in water die. People release chemicals, polythene and plastic to water. These things cause the death of sea creatures. Even the land animals who drink the polluted water face to this danger. Sometimes thousands of animals die because of polluted water bodies. People destroy the habitats of animals. They cut vast amount of forest areas in the name of development. But did they think about all the homes of these animals? They will be deprived of  water and food ultimately they die of hunger and thirst. Lots of indigenous animals face  problem of extinction because people hunt them. We all should love and protect the animals because they are a major part in the environment.

  A Festival I Celebrate   I celebrate with my family Sinhala and Tamil new year every April. It falls on either 13th or 14th. All Sinhala and Tamil people celebrate this festival. Before this festival we clean our house and our gardens.Some people white wash their houses. Parents make many tasty sweet meats for this festival. We buy new clothes for this festival.All the things are done according to auspicious time. All the people who celebrate this festival do these things at the same time. This shows the unity of the people. On this special day, we share our foods with relatives and neighbours. We visit them with presents. This festival is bound with the people's religion. They either go to temple, church or kovil on this day.
